About The Vision:
Locally:
Our vision for “Heavenly Springs Church” is to see God raise up a great, strong local Church, which shall bring praise and glory to Him, and fulfill His will and purposes. This Vision includes: Personal evangelism through door-to-door and street witnessing. Execution of mass evangelism via the use of multi-media. Seeing families united, cared for, and trained in the church through the married couples class, the singles class, and a vibrant children and youth program. Seeing people prosper financially through understanding of and obedience to the teaching of God’s word concerning prosperity. To minister healing to the diseased and deliverance to those who are bound by bad habits. Seeing a body of believers who are in a committed relationship with God, who love, share, and fellowship with each other in a New Covenant relationship. To establish a strong ministry of and intercession, knowing that our enemies are not of flesh and blood, but spiritual.
Globally:
Will seek to Network with other Christian Ministries in different nations, in such a way that such relationships will result in the expansion of God’s Kingdom.
About The Name:
It was in December of 2002 that the Twahirwas’ purposed to seek God for direction, as they approached a new year, and after being dissatisfied with the status quo. It was during that time that the Holy Spirit spoke to Twahirwa and gave him the name “Springs”. He shared with his wife about the name. The following day, when praying in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit revealed to Rev.Twahirwa, that the name “Springs,” was referring to the end time anointing, that God is powering upon the Church, to bring in the final harvest of souls. Quickly God gave Rev.Twahirwa, a revelation about the river described in Ezekiel 47 and in the book of Revelation 22:1-2. As Rev.Twahirwa pondered on these developments, he received another scripture, which reads as follows: “Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the valley of Baca (weeping), they make it a spring…” (Psalms 84:1-6). Then God confirmed the revelation through Rev.Twahirwa’s wife, and through other Ministers of the Gospel. During this prayer time, it became clear to the Twahirwas’, that God was calling them to begin a church, and that the name of the Church was to be “Heavenly Springs Church” . Other supporting scriptures included Joel 3:18, Zech. 14:8 and John 7:37-38
About The Strategy:
The Lord impressed on Rev.Twahirwa’s heart to focus on equipping believers (saints) for the work of the Ministry (Ephesians 4:11-14). This is based on the revelation that Jesus never commissioned any body to “go and make Christians of all the nations” but rather Jesus commissioned His disciples as follows: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18-20). A disciple is a learner, a student of God’s word, and a follower of Christ. Early disciples were so much like Christ, that they were called, “Christians” by their critics (Acts 11:26). It is this ministry’s primary goal to make disciples.
About Pastor Twahirwa:
In 1984, the Lord saved His servant Rev.Twahirwa, filled him with His precious Holy Spirit, and then called him into the ministry a year later. Twahirwa obeyed the heavenly call, and ever since, the Lord has used him to plant and help in the planting of Churches in Uganda and in California. Rev.Twahirwa holds a Diploma in Evangelism, from Evangelical Christian Alliance, based in Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge. On July 12, 1997, Twahirwa was united with his lovely wife Margaret, in a holy matrimony. Margaret is a graduate of Christ for the Nations, and she received training at Oral Roberts University. In November of 1998, the Lord blessed the Twahirwas’ with their first-born son Joshua.
About The Call:
When the Lord called Rev.Twahirwa into the Ministry, He gave him the following command: “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. …”(Isaiah 54:2-3). Over the years Rev.Godfrey has relied on the following scripture as God continues to fulfill His promise: “And the Lord answered me, and said, WRITE THE VISION, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because IT WILL SURELY COME, IT WILL NOT TARRY”. (Habakkuk 2:2-3, KJV)
