Project Children’s Village – Uganda:

View Current Update website on Children’s Project in Uganda.

Uganda (commonly referred to as the Pearl of Africa) is a beautiful country located in the Eastern Part of Africa. Uganda with her two neighbors Kenya and Tanzania originally formed East Africa. Currently Uganda is one of the members of the East African Community (EAC) whose other members are the Republics of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Since gaining independence from England in 1962, Uganda has had a series of poor leadership that plunged the country into a port of political and economic turmoil. The Country started a process of recovery in 1986 when the NRM under the leadership of the Current President Museveni took control of the country.

Uganda however still continues to face challenges. The Aids epidemic and the war in the North has created a significant population of orphans and disadvantaged children known in the media as the “street children” or the “invisible” children.

Heavenly Springs Church in partnership with Angel Fire Fellowship

envisions establishing a children village in South Western Uganda that will made up of a school, dormitories (for on campus kids), housing (for staff), a clinic, a vocational college (to provide technical skills to those who won’t pursue upper education), and a farm to raise crops and cattle to feed children and staff.

Revised

The initial plan includes acquiring a 55-acre strategic piece of real estate that is estimated at the cost of $55,000 (U.S dollars).

Note! I would like to extend a word of thanks to our generous donors. Two pieces of land with approximately a total acreage of 45 have been purchased for the project at a fraction of the original budgeted cost. Plans are under way to construct the project as planned.

Accountability: Heavenly Springs Church believes in accountability. Pastor Godfrey Twahirwa and his Wife Margaret, who are both Uganda born but now residing in U.S, in conjunction with Heavenly Springs Church board members, will closely monitor the project. Relevant information will be made available to interested donors.

One hundred percent of the funds designated “Children Village – Uganda” will go toward that cause.
